Colour Vision Testing Made Easy by Dr Waggoner consists of one demonstration card and nine test cards marked 1 to 9. These display a circle, star and/or a square. If an individual correctly identifies 8 of the 9 features of the test cards they pass the test.
Note: even colour deficient patients should correctly identify the demonstration card and one object on the first six cards. This checks for malingering and confirms the individual's understanding of the tests.
The four cards with car, dog, boat and house can be a quick colour vision screener. If the patient identifies the dog, boat and house they pass. The card with the car is not scored, it simply checks for malingering. If the patient fails, a retest with card 1 to 9 can be undertaken as confirmation.
This is a comprehensive test, validated and 100% Ishihara compatible.
A pack of Pseudo-Isochromatic Plates is supplied with every Colour Vision Test Made Easy, providing a quick and accurate method of screening patients for colour defects. 6 cards, or plates, are presented to the patient. If the patient identifies the figures on all plates they pass and no further testing is necessary. The deuton/protan plate is only used for advanced testing in cases where there is a need to determine the type and approximate degree of the deficiency. The triton plate is only used if you need to test for (acquired) blue/yellow deficiencies.
