MassVAT (Massachusetts Visual Acuity Test)
If the proportionally spaced side of the chart is too difficult for the patient, try the
reverse side with the MassVAT format chart. The Testability using the MassVAT
format in children is high. The rectangular outline surrounding the five optotypes is
50% of the width of the optotype. Thus, it provides adequate contour interaction to
detect ambliopia.
